Abstract

The relationship between theology and culture has been instrumental in the formation of national civilizational identities throughout history. This paper examines how theological principles, religious beliefs, and cultural norms have shaped the development of national identities and the ways in which they continue to influence contemporary societal structures. By analyzing various historical and cultural contexts, this study explores the significant role that religion plays in fostering a sense of national identity and unity. The research also investigates how theological doctrines, through their cultural expressions, contribute to the formation of national narratives that define the cultural fabric of different societies. Through a comparative analysis, the paper highlights key instances where theological beliefs and cultural practices converge to create unique civilizational identities. The findings suggest that theology, when intertwined with culture, not only reflects national identities but actively constructs them, shaping the values, traditions, and political frameworks that define nations.
