THE ROLE OF WOMEN IN THEOLOGY AND CIVILIZATION: HISTORICAL MARGINALIZATION AND EMERGING VOICES
Keywords:
Theology, Civilization, Women’s Marginalization, Gender and ReligionAbstract
The contributions of women in theological discourse and the shaping of civilization have often been underrepresented in mainstream historiography. Historically marginalized due to patriarchal interpretations and systemic exclusions, women have nonetheless played significant roles in the religious, intellectual, and cultural evolution of societies. This paper explores the intersection of gender, theology, and civilizational development, focusing on both the historical invisibility and the emerging voices of women in contemporary religious thought. Through critical analysis and historical examples, the article underscores the necessity of re-evaluating traditional narratives to foster inclusive theological frameworks and civilizational models.
